What's Been Going on....

I cannot believe another year has flown by! Here we are, the 1st week of November coming to a close with Thanksgiving & Christmas just around the corner! SO
much has happened since I last updated the blog. So bad on my part. After all, I have so much FREE time...haha. Henry's 1st birthday was in June & he had such a great time! So did mommy & daddy. Grammy & Gramps came all the way from Oregon to celebrate with us. In July Henry took his first trip to Chicago. He had so much fun way up high on he "Willis tower" (Formerly Sears.) In August,Uncle Dommie, Aunti Brenda, Cousin Sofia & Olivia welcomed newcomer Gabriella to the Bartolone family. She is so cute!! Henry loves to visit. In September, Grammy came back again for a visit while daddy went hunting! October was such a fun month. We went to Mammoth to visit Aunti Angela, Uncle Alan & cousin Lucy. We had so much fun playing!! Then, with Halloween next, there was so much fun to be had. Henry dressed as a monkey, mommy & daddy dressed up too. Henry is now 16 months old and RUNNING everywhere!! He is CrAzY, into everything. He loves to climb, play at the park, & sweep. Henry also loves the vacuum. According to papa, it is a phenomena, there are videos of kids who love vacuums on youtube.

My New Push Car

Grammy& Gramps gave me a cool new push car for Easter. Unfortunately, I could not take it home on the plane& Grammy&Gramps will be bringing it when they come visit in May for 10 days.  I am sooo excited to see them again!!

I like to travel...

Henry was so excited to go to Oregon, he showed mommy& daddy he could help pack.

Easter in Oregon

Henry, Mommy& Daddy went up to Oregon to celebrate Easter and say our "Goodbyes" to great-grandma Sibert. As she passed away shortly thereafter. We were so blessed to spend time with her, and also be with Grammy& Gramps Sibert on Easter morning. There were Easter baskets filled with goodies, including some Easter bunny ears for Henry to wear. Daddy put them on Henry& he thought they were funny. Henry also was able to see Great-Grandma Layton. She had Easter dinner with us and enjoy the lamb cake that Grammy made.

Standing in my Crib

Henry is getting so big that when mommy has to put her make up on, or do her hair in Henry's room, he stands up in his crib and watches. He loves to watch his Daddy as he works sometimes and has to take care of him while mommy is taking a shower.

Henry takes his 1st Carousel ride...

Mommy and Daddy took me down to have lunch with our good friends, the Fosters.
Greg&Katie have two big boys named Davis&Grant.  I had a big boy quesadilla for lunch, and afterwards, we got treats and walked around. We were having so much fun, and then, I rode the Carousel with daddy and the big boys. I can't wait to go back& visit them again

Henry's 9 month Check up

Wow! SO Henry weighs in at 20lbs and is 30 inches long!! According to his pediatrician he is the size of a one year old! Very exciting!! He has two bottom teeth and his top two are emerging, so doctor gave the go ahead for "real food." So mommy has been giving him more French Fries, banana, pasta, waffles, you name it he can have it....oh wait, he can't have eggs, nuts, fish, or honey yet.  Other than that, it's so fun seeing him eat "Big Boy Food" for the 1st time.

Henry Meets Uncle Kayne

Henry's daddy has a good friend that lives in Chicago with his wife Alicia and has two boys of his own.  He came here to visit us, wearing his Nantucket colored pants (See photo&ask daddy about this). He is very fun to be around and fun to play with. He even brought Henry two really cool new toys, a drum set with other instruments and cool toy that shoots balls in the air.  Henry cannot wait to go to Chicago someday and meet his two boys, Liam and Luke.

Puerto Rico

Henry took his very first "really long" trip. He was a superstar on the plane from L.A. (Leaving our house at 4am) to DFW changing planes, and flying into San Juan. Arriving there at approximately 8pm PR time (4pm L.A. time) The trip was an amazing whirlwind of new people, (it was a CA club trip so many of daddy's co-workers), exciting adventures, lounging by the pool, getting a cartoon drawn of Henry, going down his first waterslide& going in the ocean. Most of all, Henry did not go un-noticed. People could not believe how mellow he was and asked if we had been putting "something" in his food to keep him so chill. He was the life of every party (out till all hours keeping West coast time, which was 4 hours behind) and always dressed like a trendy rockstar (so we were told.)
Mommy and Daddy had fun too, especially getting to share their baby with everyone. Henry continued to do amazing, the babysitter at the hotel that watched while mommy and daddy went to dinner said he was an angel, and the plane ride home (7&1/2 hours straight) Henry hardly fussed, but at the end when he had had enough and just needed his own bed. What a Good Boy!! You can imagine, we were quite the proud parents:)

Henry fights the "Sleepmonster"!!!

Due to Henry cutting his first tooth while in Mammoth, he was extremely exhausted (as were his mommy&daddy) He did not want to miss out on all the fun everyone was having, so he refused to fall asleep.

Nonnie&Papa's 60th

Henry went to his Nonnie&Papa Bartolone's 60th birthday party . It was themed "A night with the stars." Mommy&Daddy and Henry had to dress up as Movie charachters. We chose to dress up as the cast of "Something about Mary." Mommy is Mary, Daddy is the slimey investigator, and Henry got to be the "star" Magda's pooch.

Visiting Lucy

I don't have any pictures to prove it, but Mommy and me went up to Mammoth to visit my newest cousin Lucy. We had so much fun. I really like her. She just kind of lays there though, oh and eats and sleeps. Mommy tells me that's all I used to do to awhile back, so I will give her some grace. I can't wait to see her again soon!!

Henry's First Christmas...

Well, it came and went so quickly. Christmas 2008, Henry's 1st Christmas. He got to spend time with Grammy& Gramps Sibert from Oregon. Who, missed the greatest snowstorm since his daddy was a little boy, because they were with Henry!  On Christmas Eve, Henry got to spend time with Nonnie&Papa, Uncle Dommy&aunti Brenda and cousins Sofia&Olivia. Then after Christmas saw his great-aunties & uncles and some cousins on his mommies side of the family in Whittier. And last but not least, Henry got to visit his great-gramma& Papa Faye. It was a whirlwind of wrapping paper, boxes and gifts, but Henry had a great time, preferring the paper over the gifts. As you can see in the pictures....

Henry's First Cold...

'Tis the season, fo' shizzle. As Henry started sneezing yesterday and his little eyes were watery with read rings around them. As usual though, he smiled throughout the day. He was even an angel for the babysitter. As mommy&daddy went to a Christmas party last night (this was the first babysitter Henry has had-other than friends or family.) He woke up at midnight crying and stuffy, then about every two hours. Poor baby he could hardly breathe. In the morning mommy called the doctor, but basically all you can do is use a humidifier and saline drops and be sure he gets lots of rest. No juice or chicken noodle soup for this little breast-fed man.  We had originally planned a pretty full day, we were going to visit some family in Whittier, but had to cancel due to Henry being sick. We were sad, but that's ok, we will have a make up day. Next exciting thing will be Grammy&Gramps Sibert arriving from Oregon tomorrow. We cannot wait to see them!!

Christmas is Here!!!

Wow!! How quickly time flies!! Henry will be 6 months old on the 24th of December!! Oh my goodness! He is sitting up, scooting on his tum,tum (as we like to call it) "talking" and getting ready to eat solids. He watches mommy and daddy very intently when we are eating, and grabs at our silverware.  On December 4th, Henry met Santa for the first time at the Grove, then on the 5th, met him again (a must nicer one may I add) at another function. Christmas is quickly approaching, and Grammy and Grandpa from Oregon are coming to visit. Henry has been "helping" mommy bake (he coaches her from his excer-saucer) he has even opened a couple of pre christmas gifts Grammy&Grandpa Sibert sent. Out of everything though, Henry especially LOVES  the lights!! He is absolutely                                         fascinated with them. Overall, Henry is so excited for the big day!!

Aunti Angela is due to have her on December 22nd or possibly before or after...we'll see. We went for a long walk and it was so beautiful, but very cold. We cannot wait to visit again in January when cousin Lucy has arrived!!!

Trip up to see Grammy & Grandpa and the rest of the friends and family up in Oregon

Henry went on a trip of many firsts. First time on a plane, First time to Oregon, First time to a pumpkin patch, First time seeing 2 of his Great Grandma's, and many other family and Friends.

We all had a great time visiting family and friends.

Henry even found time to go in for a photo shoot so everyone could see how big he's gotten.

Then there was the infamous visit to the Roloff farms. Dad would say it took 90 minutes to get in and pay too much for a soda and kettle corn and a few pictures, while Mom's story would be more around we got to see the Roloff family from the show Little people Big world. We were able to see Tara's good friend Heather and her family while we were there too.

Uncle Samuel's Race

Today I went to my first drifting race. Mommy&Daddy and I drove out to Irwindale to see uncle Samuel in a competition. My buddy Ryan and his daddy Chris met up with us there too. We saw lots of cars and it was so loud and exciting. I didn't even complain that much. Mommy carried me around in the Ergo carrier so I got to see people and feel safe too. I can't wait to go to my next race.
